Coasting cruise course catamaran
Stage
* Courses prices are including : practical and theoretical classes, accommodation on board, civil liabilty and personal accident insurances. The day to day running costs (eg. Diesel, port fees, gas, food…) will be found by each participant. The coach contributes to the supplying.
This training course is for sailors who intend to rent a cruising cat.
You will learn how to be a skipper for your next cruise, with friends or family.
Purpose :
To know how to use the equipment which is at yours disposal. To make the most of the nautic qualities of your sailing boat. To be aware of all information necessary to prepare a cruise.
Program:
Presentation of VAOVAO
Safety plan
Sensitive points (valves, pumps, hatches)
The engines
Harbour manœuvres
Arrival pontoon (forward and reverse)
Springing the boat off the pontoon.
U-turn in place.
Mooring on anchor.
Sails manœuvres
Tacking and veering. Gybing. Reefing. How to heave to.
The spinnaker.
Man overboard takeover. Stability knowledge.
How to prepare a sailing
Navigational instruments : calibration and use.
Water heights calculation (diagram). The streams.
How to prepare a sailing program.
Duration : 2 days (2x9 hours)
Numbers trainees : 5 maximum
Rates * : 400€ / person
Discount : 50% of the course will be paid back at the first renting of VAOVAO.

Purpose :
To learn the minimum competences necessary to sail a cruising catamaran in high sea cruises.
Program :
Preparation for the catamaran. Specific equipment. Board arranging.
Preparation for the sailing. Weather forecast. Reckoning.
Manœuvres under sails, trim. Watches.
Safety on board : preventive measures, emergency manœuvres and procedures.
Duration : 5 to 15 days
